    Update: Took it to the dealership, caught a code from the steering angle sensor. They reset the system (for free) and have had no problems since. Slip indicator still works in appropriate conditions. No need to short it this time, but thanks for the write up

    I live in the beautiful pacific northwest which is full of roads with up and down tight corners. After lifting and adding tires (3" and 285s) my vsc would kick in on any corner above 35 mph. I adjusted my driving style braking hard going into turns I expected the vsc to hit on and all was fine. Until one day heading east of the mountains taking a turn on the mountain pass doing approx 70mph (which is the speed limit) and my vsc kicked in and pulled me into the next lane narrowly missing a semi.
    So the next week I brought it to the dealer on advice from the forum with the printout. Picked it up and tested it out on my normal commute and hit vsc 3 times again, frustrating. Came across this method and gave it a try, worked exactly the way it was supposed to. So again set out to test it on my normal commute and vsc hit again on same 3 corners. I'm at a loss and have no idea what to do differently. I don't mind braking into corners but one of these days either myself or the wife is going to get caught off gaurd by one of these "safety" features. Any suggestions, please and thank you.

    Awesome sticky. Steering wheel was off center to the left in my '09 for a few months since an alignment. I adjusted the tie rods to get the wheel straight and the VSC light came on and stayed on over 25mph. Did the VSC reset as described and problem solved. Thanks

    Thanks @Crom for posting this concise set of directions.
    Seeing as this is the third time I've come home from a trip to the desert with my alignment messed up sufficiently to turn the light on, I took the suggestion of a couple of people who posted and made a thing out of spare junk and a paperclip.

    This may be a silly question, but I'd rather ask, and get it right, than not ask and mess things up...
    When using the SPST switch, are all three prongs on back of the switch (lighted switch) used, or do I just wire the pos and neg prongs of the switch to have this work properly??? Thanks in advance...

    Just ignore the third (negative) prong. Good idea to meter the switch to make sure you get the correct two.
