Just installed Icon 2.5s and cranked them to max (~2" thread showing both sides). I'm sitting at 24" in the front in both sides, 24.5" in the rear with Dakars.

I have a plate bumper, winch and skids and am installing 700lb coils, the Dakar AAL and TC UCAs next week.

These are my CVs - reference the title, what should I do?

Diff drops do nothing for 2nd Gens, that is why pretty much most people don't use them

I would back off the preload until the fins on your cv boots aren't killing eachother. Then, wait until you install the new springs and stuff and adjust accordingly.

And Unchained 5150 is right about the diff drop. When you see how it's installed, it barely moves the diff at all.

Thanks bros, I will back down the Icons a bit for now and reassess once the 700lb springs are on.

they do actually help, but only really drop it .5" just make sure you have a proper skid plate that protects the diff, but remember, if you hit it stupid hard it will break with or with out a diff drop lol.

changing CVS isnt actually that hard and they can run a really long time if the boot rips. I had a broken boot for 4 years

Adjusted down to 1.5" thread showing on the Icons. Sitting at 25" even in the rear with Dakars, 23.5 even up front. CVs looking much better.
