Did you get your factory back up camera to work with the Kenwood headunit?

You're lucky you didn't rip off your trailer harness! Look into doing a relocate for it because it's not cheap to replace.

Yeah thats the fist thing I checked, luckily I didn't. However it was full of dirt. I've been looking at the @bullaculla relocate bracket he makes.

How did you like the 5100s and 885s while you had your truck?

Yes, I installed with the idatalink maestro kit and tapped into factory camera per a thread on here how to do so. Without the maestro you also have to provide the power from the reverse wire to activate the camera. This maestro unit does this for you but have to have the feed.

Here is the thread if you're not familiar with it. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/oem-camera-connection-below-dash.30889/

Those brackets are super nice, bit with a metal bar and a couple bolts I was able to do pretty much the same thing.

Loved them!! I'd say that it was very close to stock ride. I would do it again in a heartbeat and IMO it's the best way to lift these trucks for under $700.

That's great to hear. I really want Kings but under $700 sounds better while trying to save for a house. I also don't do any high speed wheeling. What aal did you use and did you get aftermarket UCA's?

I did not need UCAs since my truck was able to get into alignment just fine. I went with the Wheelers 2" single AAL, but if I could do it over I'd do the three leaf progressive AAL since it's a much smoother ride. Headstrong Offroad has a package that offers all that.

How much lift in the front did it give you? I'd like to replace my leafs all together with Dakars but I'm not sure if they would work good.

Been prepping for my system over the past few days.

    IMG_0767.jpg

Noticed that my pos aftermarket antenna was a little rusty so I decided to remove it and this happened. :frusty:

    IMG_0768.jpg

Received and installed my redline struts from the last group buy.
    IMG_0769.jpg

Started adding some deadner to the back doors

Also had some goodies show up on my back porch this morning. :headbang:

Carefully glue a small screw onto the broken piece. Wait for it to dry then unscrew it.

I'm pretty sure I screwed up the little sleeve that holds the threaded piece with some plyers trying to get the rusted piece out. I found this thread today and figured that I would just replace the whole thing sometime soon. Probably wont be listening to the radio much I'm kinda hooked on Spotify right now. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-replace-oem-antenna-in-fender.261341/

I think all dealerships are... I bought my Tacoma new from a dealer 45 minutes away. They told me about the Toyota Care 25k program, but then told me that I'd get my 30k service for free if I came back to them for all of the 25k services. And I quote "that's a good deal because the 30k is the expensive one".

So I looked up the 30k service and saw that they call for plugs and some fluid changes that would make it worth my while to drive 45 min each way for all my services.

Fast forward to my 25k service 2 weeks ago and I was asking if it was best if I scheduled my 30k in advance. The service writer asked why and I told him what the 30k entailed (something he should probably know) and he proceeds to tell me that the only thing they cover is the oil change!

It's called a free 30k service... If my vehicle calls for new plugs, I should get them! They don't call it free 30k oil change! I spent way more on gas driving there and back than I would've spent on doing my own oil change!

For an access cab they recommend 884 coils to get the ~2.5" of lift.

Thank you! Is that because of the weight difference between the AC and DC?
