hey everyone, I'm installing my lift this weekend. 5100s with 885 coils with AAL! Tires are 265/75/16 KO2s! Hoping it is leveled and not raked.. Any tips for the job at hand? I'm already hitting with PB blaster. Gonna start it Sunday around 11 hoping to get done by 7! Fingers crossed

OME 881 coils with OME nitrochargers shocks up front. TC UCA's OME Dakars with extra leaf in the rear. Warn 8000 winch with 80ft custom braided synth line. Custom 60ft synth extension. All pro tube bumper, Hi-lift jack, Safari Snorkel, Wilco tiregate. 2019 Jeep JLUR.
Are your coils/shocks allready put together?
If not, most tire/brake shops have wall mounted compressors and usually charge $20 per side.
Got extended length u bolts and c clamps for the aal?
Be sure and remove the front sway bar, it helps tremendously.

You dont need big clamps. A pair of the cheapo harbor frieght 5in ones will do.
One on each side. Clamp em tight, remove the center pin nut on the bottom then slowely unscrew each clamp a little at a time.
Did you check your parts list and make sure they provided an extended length center pin?

I did mine by myself in about 4 hours. Really not that big of a deal.
Just make sure you have all required tools ahead of time.

My recommendation is to pick up a bottle or two of PB blaster, and start soaking everything today. Everything should come off no problem this weekend.

Ok I'll make sure I have clamps and I didn't check for parts, I ordered from HeadStrong so if anyone has ordered from them feel free to let me know if it comes with all the parts I need. I'll check when I get home too

When was your last alignment? Good chance your cams are frozen, found out mine were after my lift.

Be prepared to replace your LCA's and alignment hardware. I was shocked to find this out aswell being that my trucks a 2013, chamber is way off now since they can't make any adjustments. Just a heads up, sorry to burst your bubble.

seems to be inevtiable unless you removed and greased your alightment cams when the truck was new, they ship from the factory dry and it all rusts together in no-time (from the reaseach ive done). My alightment guy knew before I even pulled it in it would be frozen, unless you've gotten regular alightments and they've been spun free on a regular basis.

Haven't replaced mine yet, was going to go with Moog's but I might go OEM to avoid any premature failures. That's on the list for this summer, the shit part is I can't get new tires before I do all this work.

It might be wise to check the cams before you do the lift if you don't want to roast your tires, note they won't look rusted at all from the outside the corrosion is on the inside.
