I have, but I either know people who pass my car, or the car is old enough to get just the safety inspection done without smog.

Don't know how they do it in Cali, but in Texas its super easy to get by with that shit.

Yes, in Texas... where you can build whatever the fuck house you want and own actual guns... not in Commiefornia

I also rather get a supercharger than a turbo or two on my truck. I just want the more oomph at the down low. Another benefit of sc is the more linear boost, but tc setup usually gets better mpg.

Saw somewhere that ovt? Is cracking into tuning these tacos. I can't find their post at the moment. I for one would pay to have a good blower with a tune on mines. I'm just patiently waiting. I really wish magnuson would make a good tvs blower or if urd made a whipple blower. I would blindly give them my money if they did haha.

There are no kits for the Tacoma so we can't. Engine management is a royal pain in the ass to get right on adding a turbo to a non turbo engine, yes I am speaking from experience. Changing turbo's on an already turbo engine, adding betting injectors and fueling system to support bigger turbo and changing the ECU is very simple. But on an engine like this one where everything is so tightly integrated and the only option you have is to modify the ECU rather than replace it, it's not that simple. Well not if you want to do it corectly.

What Im saying is, kits are for n00bs in most cases. Lift kits, turbo kits, etc. They are usually bloated in price, and contain a lot of parts you don't need. You'll save more and learn more by building your own.

Although I do agree with you on the EMS, some are very pricey.

    which non-turbo vehicles have you successfully turbo'd? Iv'e only done 3, a honda, a ford and a buick (d16z6, ll23 and a l36)
