    Didn't know where to put this and since there isn't a BS thread for turbos I figured I'd take a crack at it. Just put a tank of e85 in my truck at 12 psi and gawd dayum it feels like a completely different truck. Pulls harder at 85F ambient now than it did at 30F in the winter. Mpg's are moot since 91 costs around 30% more. Idles smoother, runs quieter. The only thing I can say bad about it is I'll need a bigger tank if I want to run it regularly and also that smell though.

    No but it's definitely on the list. I typically have a laptop with me so I can make on the fly adjustments. Are they inexpensive? and it just sits in your tank?

    Externally. The fuel line or line are routed through it. Depending on the aftermarket ecu's capability, it could be wired into it, and then the laptop could do on the fly map adjustments.

    The price is around the $200 something realm.

    Sounds reasonable, I don't think the fic6 can do anything like that sadly. It can store 2 maps which can be wired to a switch :rofl:. I'd like to be able to have some type of auxiliary device that can do exactly that though. The stock ecu in combo with the fic6 is pretty lousy at air temp adjustments (or my tune isn't good enough). I've been making different maps for 15-20 degree brackets as the temps have been rising. It would be pretty sick if I could have some device/storage unit inline with the fic that would intercept an air temp signal and also the ethanol content signal and load maps based on them. Doesn't sound like too much to ask :notsure:

    You cannot install GM air temp sensor, or AEM air temp sensor (same thing), instead of using the oem air temp sensor?

    Yeah I'm kinda crossing my fingers with the lines. I've read that "around" 2000 manufacturers started using ethanol resistant rubbers for e10 and that these newer components are more resistant to higher concentrations as well but they are also 20 years old so I expect to be upgrading them at some point. It feels like a completely different engine. Hits way harder initially and holds smoother throughout the power band. My 91 tune was probably on the rich side just to avoid detonation at 9.6 static CR and 12 psi so I wasn't exactly maxing out the tune initially but yeah it feels so much better now, 11.8-12 afr which I think is still considered at the very far end of the safe spectrum and it just spins up so smooth now.
