I just put this in mine everything went great I'm happy with it only time will tell! I did a lot of reading on this on here basically they all fail eventually and need to be replaced . For some people moog lasted for them. some blew out quick. The same went for oem. The struggle is real.

Go OEM. This part is way too important to risk aftermarket. The Moog is not even in the same class as the OEM joint. Those that are happy with it, are only happy for the first few month.
Yes, they all wear out, it's the length of time in which they wear out. You will be lucky to get 20,000 out of the Moog, (although I'm sure a few lightly driven grocery getters have..) but you should get 50,000 to 100,000 out of the OEM. Driving styles vary obviously, but the longevity is there.
These guys know what they are talking about.

No, just keep it on, and tell tall tales about near misses on the highways and byways.

I'm not dissing Oem ball joints they do go forever... but moog is lifetime warranty. good value to that kit even if you have to replace ball joints a little more often. Lots of value if you do your own work. On newer Chevys I've replaced lots of uca's with moog because factory is garbage. I don't think I'd be scared of moog.

They're fine on a Chevy, I agree, mainly because they are installed with the ball portion pushing into the socket portion.
These are Toyota Ball joints that we are comparing them too as well, not the cheap Chevy stuff.
On the 1st gens however, the ball portion is trying to separate from the socket portion during use, it's upside down from what you would normally see.
Lots of guys on here that have experienced ball joint failure first hand and quite a few of us that have had to replace the Moog's with only few thousand miles on them.

There are pics on here that also show the cross section of the two styles, there is very little comparison and the difference in quality is readily apparent.
