    I think he said the 5800 was too laggy.
    I originally ordered an 8201 from my friend who is a wholesale car audio distributor. He told me that Pioneer originally had planned to introduce a new line of units for CES 2017, but there were some bugs with the navigation that they are still working out. The reason they did the xx01 models was to help move old stock by including a camera and also so they didn't arrive at CES completely empty handed.

    I wanted the 8201 for the capacitive touch screen. The NAV was just a bonus. He said that there is a possibility the new units could arrive this summer vs Pioneer waiting until next CES. I already had the rest of my system ready to install and needed a radio so I just went with the 4201 as a placeholder until the new models come out.

    There is not a dedicated Spotify app, but it does show up in Apple CarPlay. I don't have any android devices to test but I suspect android auto would have it too.

    Finished my small lift install. I expect the back will settle a bit. Full 2016 TRD OR suspension, with wheelers aal and 1/4 top plate spacers. I'm happy, especially for how cheap it all was. Told myself I would measure before and after, I forgot, but I'm guessing 1.5" in the front and 2" in the rear.

    I have no idea why that double quoted yours and ManBeast. Pioneer has in the past done mid-year releases, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did that again. I just want that Spotify app that exists on the 5800.
