On the side of the interstate...help!

So I was cruising along on the interstate and this warning popped up and the truck went into limp mode. Anything in particular that I can check on the side of the road? Battery is currently disconnected to reset the computer.

Disconnect and reset the ecu and get it to the dealer asap on Monday seems this is an issue and it could be a wire harness or something worse. Doesn't look like anybody knows even toyota is at a loss. They just make shit up as they go along. GL, maybe have it towed in to the dealer.

 

Now that I think back on my issue, I'm wondering if it was EMI from my CB. I keyed up almost immediately prior to the issue. The CB is hard wired to the battery so that is my only guess.

 

Light a cigarette, leave it on the seat. I would be fucking livid if my brand new truck left me stranded.

I was agreeing with you. Getting stranded in a brand new truck is not cool. Im terrified something is going to go wrong with my truck. This forum gives me anxiety. haha

 

If the zombie invasion ever happens do not steal a 3rd gen taco. Just as soon as you think you are getting away fucking brake override comes on and your face is lunch. Maybe this is how Toyota will get ISIS to stop using their trucks.

 

I was able to reset the code and get to my destination. I'm thinking it was EMI from the CB that caused it. I'll test that theory later when I have more tools around than just a Gerber LOL
