I would say that it is mostly because people install bed-lights for a lot of more light.

    Yeah it's from a colorado

Just did it this week. made a build thread for it. search brake light/ cargo light

I did share it! just got done. Its a little scary to cut into your truck with a dremel. and irreversible. might steer some people away, but it turned out great and I love it.

Nice job. Definitely scary and irreversible!

I think I would also tap this into the reverse lights so it would come on both on command via switch and automatically anytime you are in reverse.

We are taking a trip and need a place to keep our stuff dry in the event of weather. Plus we are hauling all sorts of other stuff in the bed so we still needed room in the bed. This was the best I could come up with. I want a cap but it's just not in the budget right now. When I get back I will probably clean up the rack and paint it and use it for other stuff. Not sure what though.

That is a great idea. If you turn the storage unit around you'll have better aerodynamics.

Might be a business opportunity if you were to fab up a set of metal brackets and crossmembers. Could be used for quite a few different things.

You think it would be better turned around? I think the tall tail end og the box would stick above the cab and it has a flatter surface into the air.

I thought of coming up with something. If I only had a machine shop. The things I could do. I hate asking favors at work.
