In S1? that defeats the purpose of the limit selection then.:(

The computer is smart enough to upshift to avoid damage to the engine.

It's sport mode with a traditional automatic, not a dual clutch system lol. You can't hold gears forever in this truck with an auto.

Maybe there needs to be a rule on the registration wait 90 days before you can post a thread. Do a lot of reading and then maybe think of an intelligent post. But thanks. I have had a good laugh for the day reading this thread. Oh and OP, don't forget to ask about tire size and a lift too.

Damn computers these days, takes the fun out of everything. In my old truck I could put it in 1 and hit the rev limiter and it would stay until I bumped it up or it blew up.

If the 3rd gen operates similarly to the 2nd gen it will bounce off the rev limiter for a few seconds before up shifting :anonymous:

Then you fix that one and cut the other one.

Yup remove the engine and tranny, cut a hole in the drivers side and passenger floor boards and use your feet like the Flintstones.

Don't forget he needs to add a relay. Oh wait, does he need one considering he has a fuse box?

Probably not, dealer would just say seems like a normal characteristic of the truck.
