    3 inch OME Suspension Lift and 1 inch Bilstein Body Lift
    Has anyone put a aftermarket exhaust on? I am trying to give it a little more......rumble for lack of better words. I was looking at doing at the black cat TRD exhaust system with racing manafold headers. Has anyone done anything similar to this? Videos/Pics are appreciated!

    It will give you 1 extra hp.

    Your brain will tell you it gives you more performance, because your brain will be trying to reconcile the $$$ spent was worth more than some extra Db in your ear hole when you push the pedal.

    It is what you want... so do it.

    That said, though... I don't understand the point of trying to tune these engines up with these little "half measure" improvements.

    Personally, I got my taco so I could have a Very Reliable engine that I could build up a really crawly driveline around.

    How would this effect reliability if under 10psi and not upping the rev limiter?

    If properly and optimally tuned they will add meaningful HP in some rpm range, have no effect in some rpm ranges, and entirely likely suck out power in some other rpm range--the exact ranges (and the "width" of each) depend on tubing diameter and length, and other design criteria.

    If they don't do that they are just milquetoast eyewash made to look pretty...

    Oh I'm not saying that it fucks up reliability... I'm just saying that I would PERSONALLY rather save the money from the Header/Exhaust job and put it into something in the driveline instead. This is, of course, personal preference that I'm voicing here.

    If the goal is to alter the engine's intake and exhaust to produce more power, and that increased power is routinely utilised (if not what's the point?), then it has to--by definition--make the engine work harder. Hence longevity and reliability will be affected--negatively.

    All else equal there is "no replacement for displacement"...

    I assume blower decreases mpg too

    Its all in ur right foot.

    If ur running an engine at max output all the time to realize these gains in mods, then....u cannot be worried about reliability. So....moot

    Its nice to have on tap

    Someone needz to notify nhra, lose blower, lose meth, get bigger pistons

    I'm no ase certified, race car, airplane mechanic, but I do have a bad ass set of tools. I would think the header would lower heat and back pressure. Especially if you have a free flow air filter like a afe pro dry. I compare it to blowing through a coffee stirrer then a straw. Which is easier? BUT like I stated I am no mechanic.
