This thread is giving me flashbacks to the 90s if the import scene while I was working at Dazz Motorsports and some other local So. Cal custom fab shops. The knock offs were being released weekly and it was killing us. It wasnt just the japanese imports, the european market was hit as well.

About to date myself, but the biggest wheels around at the time where 20". Top tier 3pc Brabus, Alpina, and Hartge wrapped in Pirellis ran 7-10k and the knock offs were 3-5k. So exclusive it was for the rich and famous, shit i don't even think DUB was around yet. Since the look and style then became affordable to a larger market.....yadda yadda blah blah..

Point is I guess, support the OGs, since wheels are easily duplicated. Support your local fab shops who actually show up to local meets. Those are THE industry heads right there.

Companies get away with copying because it can take years to litigate it and cost a fortune to see it through. Then, even if you win, some flakey judge can lower the award and/or damage claim. All the while the shitbag copy cat companies make money while everything is tied up in court.

On the other hand a cease and desist letter from a high powered attorney can be effective.

^I like this, well said. Old school rep for you man.

A rip off is a rip off. Someone coming on here selling stuff that is a blatant rip off a local craftsman is a slap in the face, no?

    Whole lotta stuff
I see I'm late to the party...

Vin at SCS is just a stand up guy. Plain and simple.

I've bought used coilovers off him, bought wheels from him; though each experience was limited he definitely earned my business with his customer service. He's a great business owner for making a quality product offering for TW members and down to earth and honest when you're just buying parts out of his garage. Answered every question I had.

    Love my gorgeous SCS wheels!

Well here's a potentially pointless, boring, and waste of time story.....

When I went to pick up the SCS wheels I had converted to beadlocks I walk in and tell the guy I'm here for the SCS sitting on the shelf behind him. He looks back and and says "Ohhh, you're the lucky one" and my initial gut reaction was something got fucked up and was going to be several weeks until I had the set of wheels I ordered. I gave him the "WTF" look and ask him "Huh?" and he comes back with SCS wheels are awesome and some of the best they have come through their shop.

Now that I've wasted your time with that meaningless story, I'll waste you time again with a pointless poser shot. :)
