Are you still within your warranty period? I just hit 40k miles in my 2014 and didn't find out about this TSB until a few days ago. I haven't asked the dealer about it to see if they will cover it or not. Considering just spending the ~$90 for parts and doing it myself.

Would this apply to me? considering I got the extended warranty? I'm past 36k but I do have the extended warranty to 75k miles.

My 14 does this. I am past the warranty period for it (at 40k now). I guess I'll just deal with it. Doesn't bother me too much.

Hey, faint heart never won fair maiden! Print out the whole TSB that Ramon posted, and take it to your dealer. You never know, you might hit your service writer on a good day! At least, you can price it out for them to do it, or to do it yourself.

Additional thought: If you complained about it during your warranty period, it might be covered anyway?

For anyone who had this TSB done... did it reduce general wind noise you hear through the seals or just address the kazoo issue? I don't get the kazoo noise just generally loud wind noise sound like its getting through seal and making noise inside the door.

Mine does it this bad in crosswords. I always felt like it was coming more from top of windshield.

Either way I will take advantage of TSB as my driver and passenger seals have a wind noise at ear height.

I totally have that kazoo noise. Like I said it seemed more like a windshield area to me...maybe im wrong.

I don't see any windshield talk in this TSB...

I have been struggling to solve this since I bought my '14 Taco. Just called the dealership and g2g. Serious BUMP to the person who posted the TSB!

People who are out of warranty..... seriously dont bother buying parts. You can fix this with about a dollars worth of 1/4in irrigation drip line from the hardware store. Place 2 or 3 runs in the folds of the stock weather stripping and call it good.

Once i did that i havnt had the kazoo sound since.

Are you speaking about the weather stripping on the hood or the doors? Iv'e heard of this fix for the hood seal but my door seals are the ones making noise

I also have a lot of wind noise but no kazoo noise. I'm tempted to bring it in but not sure they would say its the same noise as the TSB explains though.

I also installed the irrigation tubing, but that didnt seem to help the wind noise. Not sure if these trucks are just this noisy.

I had the TSB installed and no more kazoo. Dealer didn't believe me even with the printed TSB.

I've been complaining about this to Toyota on my truck since I bought it in December 2012 and everytime I get the bs we can't duplicate it. Now I'm at 80000 miles. They are gonna fix it come hell or high water because I've complained about this issue since before my first oil change
