Finally mounted the spare to the bed using the spare tire mount from under the bed.
Thought of a simple idea to mount the spare in the bed

Step 1: remove spare from under truck

Step 2: remove chain crank from frame that holds spare tire

Step 3: remove tie down from bed rails

Step 4: disassemble and remove T-screw

Step 5: thread T-bolt through tire crank thingy

Step 6: insert in bed rail

Step 7: you have yourself a free spare tire bed mount

Is the brake light cover on a LEER easily replaced? Picking up a shell today and the light cover has a small crack at one corner. I don't know if it's a cover or if the brake light is one whole piece that needs to be replaced

An entire unit is fairly inexpensive, and easy to replace.

Mine the same minus the emblem. I haven't quite decided what direction I want to go with that.

pcv oil catch can update, about 500 miles so far since install and its not quite 1/16" of oil in the can.

if you're wondering why the stock wheels are back on my truck... the tire shop that I've went to for the last 10 years has hired a bunch of millenials who apparently can't install wheel weights. 3 of the weights have already fallen off (found them laying in my driveway) and the remaining weights are barely still on so I gotta take them back in & have stick on weights put on  :frusty:
