Hard shell RTT with a mid-rise bed rack?

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to mount a hard shell RTT such as this:

To a mid-rise rack as show here in this thread:

I have a 2012 access cab, FWIW. The Baroud above is 78" long, so there would be a bit of hang over in the rear.

Curious if this is even possible or perhaps ill-advised?

Absolutely possible (ANYTHING is possible). This option is one of several that I considered. I presume the jbusa RTT is about the same weight as a comparable Autohome, which would make it 120-130 lb.
I first had my RTT (Autohome Columbus) mounted atop an ARE bed cap, but I ultimately wound up going "up and over" the cab on a custom frame-tied exo. I had no issues with the cap, but wanted something more sturdy that would also provide some level of side protection. I used a Diamondback bedcover to provide weatherproof storage and it doubles as a second step, negating the need for the aluminum ladder.
I was initially worried about having all of that up and over the cab in the wind, but the lil white taco still manages 16-17 mpg with a good bit of weight, 2.5 inches of lift and 4.88s at 3500 rpm (high 70's mph)
When I can maintain steady 2500 which is 55 mph, I see almost 22 mpg.

I like that setup... hadn't seen that build before. I like that it keeps the weight lower. Good stuff.

I love that, very slick and aerodynamic. I'm going to have to look into this some more. Only downside is the price of Baroud's.
