I've been scouring the site looking at wheels, tires, lifts... all sorts. It's enough to make your head spin. :angrygirl: But this, right here, was a MASSIVE help! Thank you!

Bought this 2.5" front level kit still on shocks that I'll take off and put on my truck and 1" rear blocks on craigslist for $50 FTW!

I know this isn't the right thread but can anyone give me a quick how to on how to do this? Or point me to the right write up on it? Thanks again.

My truck, wife's car, and our roof on the house. This one is going to hurt.

Not sure yet. Most of the time it's best to just wait until you see neighbors getting a new roof. Then you start planning on the deductible. That's typically 1% of the value of the home. Ouch.

Had to take it off after a couple of months, as the check engine light kept coming on. What a waste.

Got rid of it. Traded it in for a 5.7 Tundra. Talk about polar opposites. This thing is a beast.
Even the Toyota sales people acknowledge that the Atkinson motor is a dog if you're not looking at
the Tacoma. A lot if customers have expressed buyers remorse after buying one.

    A few minor things...
This is what I'm doing for my lights and accessories. I'm a neat freak and love things looking OEM

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/diy-build-and-install-a-bussmann-rtmr-fuse-relay-block.399454/

I priced out everything I'd need to build this and it was around $450 with tools. I asked a few friends if they'd be interested in one (so I could build mine for free and sell theirs) and they said no :(

So I found one on ebay for $129 here

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-W...b5faa56&pid=100011&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=322468334006

I'm not affiliated with the seller, just bought one and it was pretty high quality.

This is the mounting plate I bought

    http://www.tacomapros.com/rtmr-mounting-plate-with-breaker-cutout-2016-tacoma/

And the circuit breaker I bought

    http://www.tacomapros.com/bussmann-80-amp-circuit-breaker-panel-mount/

I went onto waytek wire and bought a bunch of Delphi weather lock 2 pin connector parts and some 6 pin ones for the switches.

I bought this for a switch panel and plan to use the stock knockout next to my left knee along with the little key cubby.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ecause-the-thing-i-wanted-didnt-exist.415922/

I'll post pictures when I'm finished!

I was watching the Colorado BS page keeping my fingers crossed that my truck wasn't getting hammered. Luckily the hail didn't make its way down to the Springs. Hopefully yours didn't get hit too bad

    A few minor things...
    Just FYI

Butter Wax is not a long lasting wax, nor is it a polish.

I have a lot of chemical guys products and have been veering away from them now that I'm more serious about detailing vehicles. They have some good ones, but a lot of it is just marketing and buzzwords.

If you're looking for a polish you are going to need to machine polish. Depending on the condition of your paint you're gonna need equipment or have someone do it professionally.

    Polishing:

Dual Action (DA) polisher like the makita, griots, or even the harbor freight one (with better pads).

Meguiars 105 and 205 polishing compounds ("grit" in these is just like sand paper, lower number means rougher)

Lots of youtube time on the Junkman2000's channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvqM4p5XKdXiug656WLmuOg) learning how to do it properly.

    Sealing/Waxing:

If you're going to buff/polish you need to seal the paint after for protection.

A sealant (like cquartz) or a heavy protective wax like Collinite 845 will be great and long lasting.

    Hope this helps!

Duragloss 105. And I apply & rub it off by hand.

    https://www.amazon.com/Duragloss-105-Automotive-Performance-Polish/dp/B002W0ZNIU

Then after each wash dry it with Duragloss Aquawax.

What mounts did you use? I've been looking for some but I can't find any I like that come with brackets already included.
