    1) Ok, for the past week or so I have been getting a minor vibration that does not come through the steering wheel or brake pedal and starts at 30 mph.
    2) Yesterday I checked my oil and was a quart low and added a quart of mobil 1 synthetic 5w-30.
    3) immediately after starting she ran rough and stalled..I restarted and she threw the 0022 and the check engine and anti slip lights came on and oil light began flickering.
    4) I drove it back home ( about 4 miles and it ran ok). I disconnected the negative cable to clear codes and drove it again and after 5 miles she threw the 0022 again with the check engine and anti slip light, ran a bit rough intermittently and nearly stalled, but no oil light issues.

I assume the vibration is unrelated ( possible CB) , but I didnt want to exclude any info.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

I reset the code this morning and put 40+ highway miles and another 5+ miles of stop and go traffic with no problem ( other than the vibration).
A couple hrs later i was idling and it missed and threw the codes again...I added a quart of MMO and drove the 40+ highway miles home and no oil light issue.
I am going to do an oil change tonight, Mobil 1 5w-30 and filter to see what happens.

What is your normal OCI and oil of choice?

I think this has to do with your oils as already brought up by Bill above. You may also want to check and replace the filters for the Variable Valve Timing. There are two one on each side of the engine.

I have been using Mobil 1 synthetic 5w-30 for about 3 years...Not sure what OCI is.
I cannot locate the VVT filters.

OCI is Oil Change Interval or how often do you change the oil? I'll see if I can locate a picture of the filters and valves that control the Cam Shaft Timing.

So these filters insert in a galley feeding the vvt device?

You said replace. I assume they are not servicable, or just not worth the effort?

Are they in a routine maintenance schedule somewhere?

Does my 2.7 have this filter?

    Not familiar with them.

The 2.7 also has one of these filters. They can be cleaned or replaced, but should not usually require any service as long as the oil is changed on time with quality oil. Correct they are just a typical galley type filter. See the images below for the 2.7 liter 2tr-fe.

I am embarrassed to say my OCI has been 8k-10k..
Fortunately I didnt get to the oil change tonight. So, I will do the oil and OCV filters first...If that doesnt work, I will do the OCV.
    Great information/help gentlemen..Thank you.

At 162k I would stop using 5W-30 and use 10W30/40 (actually I would not have used 5W-anything in the first)--now I am in Florida so "cold" is not an issue.

Where are you located, how many miles on the oil now?

You stated you have added 2 qts of oil since yesterday morning (1 qt of M1 and 1 qt of MMO)--was it really 1 qt low and now overfilled by 1 qt; or was it really more than 1 qt low? How often do you check the oil, with 8 to 10k between changes it should be rather often.

Also, and this is 110% my opinion 8 to 10k is far too long between changes, even with Mobil's magic elixir miracle oil (or Amsoil, or RP, or any other "wonder juice").
