Hey guys my 2011 Tacoma just got a 6 inch lift with some 35 Toyo Mud Terrain tires. They are way too heavy (83 pounds) even when I regeared my truck with 4:56. Is there a size y'all recommend for the Toyo All terrain or Toyo Mud Terrain that will look nice with a 6 inch lift but not be too heavy and effect performance. Thanks!
(has to be Toyo since I already bought them but can trade out for free)

Dragons Taco thank you for the information, didn't mean any disrespect but the tires I have are too heavy and I was just curious if anybody else had this problem. I was thinking of running the Toyo A/T 2s in 305/70R17. The only weigh 64 pounds, 33.9 tall, 12.2 wide. Any thoughts

Is your truck V6 or I4? My friend has a 6" lift on Toyo MT 35s with stock gears. He offroads and tows. He doesn't seem to have any problems.

How did you figure this? I have 4.56 on 33's and I push exactly 2,600 RPMs at 75mph. With larger tires his RPMs would be lower at the same speed wouldn't they?

I'm technically over geared with 4.56 on 33's.

Faster than what he has. But he certainly doesn't have 3k at 65. I've got 2600 at 75 on 33's so he should too.

@Kyitty has 4.56s with his ARB lockers. Though you are right about the transmission (AT vs MT) making a difference.

If you want to tell Nitro Gears, Dark Horse Customs, and ECGS that none of them can properly identify 4.56 gears go right ahead. LoL I've had two sets of gears in my rear diff and both were 4.56 gears. Same up front. Zero question about my gear ratio.

Boom. Calibrated for distance and everything. Even used GPS. And guess what!! The local police radar show my MPH reading is within 1/2 MPH!

Pay attention. I'm on 33's. Not 35's. And I'm driving an automatic.

So.... you come back with math proving I was right this whole time? So eager to be right you never asked if I had an AT or MT. Accused me of not knowing my own gear ratio. And even though my sig gives both my tire size and tire model you still aren't sure which model tire I have.

I understand clearly the OP has 35's and is considering 33's. That is what brought my entire purpose in being here. You claimed the OP would have 3k RPM and I said that was bullshit.

All this AFTER you chastised the OP for spending $5k on upgrades and then wanting to downsize.

Does OP have an MT or AT? Do you know? Or did you just assume they had an MT because you do? Does OP have a V6 or I4? 2WD or 4WD? I don't see that the OP stated any of those things.

Yet here you are math geeking out trying to prove how fucking smart you are without knowing what the hell you are talking about.

Should not have criticized OP. When he responded in kind I over reacted. @Kyitty hit the nail on the head.

At least you are big enough to admit that one.

Let's hope the OP comes back so they can see your admission.
