I created the attached excel file for different gearing / tire size and transmission gear speed calculations because I was unhappy with the various calculators online.

I'm re-gearing my Tacoma to 4.88 and putting on 33" tires and wanted to know the changes vs stock. This told me that for various gears RPM ranges.

I thought this may be useful to other people on here as well, who wanted to quickly see what changes in tire size and gear ratio do you your actual speed.

Basically, enter all fields that are yellow. First block at the top is for up to 4 different tire sizes. Middle blocks let you set trans Gears and diff ratios (set for 3rd gen already)The larger block at the bottom lets you set an RPM, trans gear, diff ratio (both via selecting from the middle blocks), and Tire Number (which is just tire size from the top chart). Outputs are Driveshaft RPM Axle RPM, and Speed in MPH.

Please let me know if anyone finds a mistake. Feel free to mod away if it needs additional features!

    Enjoy!

You will want 4.56s for 33s and 4.88s for 35s!

4.56's not available for third gen, so 4.88's it is.
