I have a 2017 TRD Sport and I have had nothign but issues with this truck. It is really just crazy that Toyota has fallen so far in their reliability. I think this truck is really a black eye on the manufacturer's reputation. I'd like to discuss what people here think are the reasons for this step back in quality and reliability? We see it everywhere on the reviews and user feedback here on the forums so we know there are issues and it is not a figment of our imaginations.

Seriously, I think the OP's poll posts a questions and potentially relevant reasons for it.

I like Toyota for the most part (especially when compared to domestics). Even their CEO said a few years ago that they were having issues with QA/QC (as compared to the old days) as they were attempting to become the worlds largest auto maker.

Because you read Tacoma World! Simple. I honestly can't help but look for and listen for ALL the issues I read about here. Causes me to no enjoy the truck and just drive it. I am trying to focus on the positive vs. the negative. Overall I have no complaints. ANY issues I have had were quickly remedied by the dealer. NOT all dealers are horrible and despite what you read about here, give the service adviser the opportunity to get it right.

Why does the political angle have to be the reason? Can't poor design/programming be part of the issue?

    Also, IBTL

This is a place to discuss the third gen is it not? Are criticisms off limits? If you don't like it don't read it?
