Ham is a different set of frequencies. FRS is 7 channels set aside by the FCC. GMRS is another 7 with 21 sub channels each. Each one of those sets has a limit as to how much power you can use to transmit. FRS is .5 watts, GMRS is 50 (I think) and HAM is like 75 or unlimited. I believe this is correct, but if not, someone should definitely jump in and correct me.

Was planning to use my 20% on a Yeti Roadie, especially since they just dropped the price $50 a week or so ago. What do you dislike about the Pelican vs. the Yeti?

 

The yeti 65 is like 30% smaller than the pelican in terms of exterior dimensions. That was the main selling point, but i found out after that the yeti 65 is a 59qt cooler and the pelican is a 69qt cooler (giggity) which would probably account for the difference. i'm going to try it out this weekend and if its too small, I'll exchange it for the 105. I'm extremely brand loyal to pelican since i have tons of their cases and they have never let me down. The cooler is great, its just fuckin huge compared to the yeti due to being massively overbuilt. It also weighs like 10 pounds more empty.

 

any of you know what size t-slot nuts fit our bed rails and where to find them locally... tried my fastenal here in eburg but they said the closest store that has them is idaho.
