I know there are a ton of mud flaps threads out there already but, I couldn't find the information I was looking for. I'm looking at getting a set of Plasticolor flaps but, I'm not sure if I would need the 9" or 11" model. Is there one that would be required to use or is it a preference of how it looks? The 9" models would save me a few bucks but if they are useless then it isn't worth wasting the money to have to eventually buy the 11" ones.

I would get the 11". I don't feel 9" is enough. Look at it on a tape measure. Worse goes to worst you can always trim them.

@smitty99 has his install thread in his sig.

I would like to 2nd that suggestion. I got the larger size and love them even with my stock tires and no lift. I haven't seen anything other than OEM, but of they wrap around the flares like OEM they can rub 5he paint.

Well well well in my experience with Rokblokz mud flaps it would take very unusual conditions to damage one of these flaps. Some people would not be happy with any product and the more money they cost the more people have to complain about it.. Play it safe with no flaps just save your money for the chips on your truck ! Good luck with your choice

I don't really see where the problem is? It kind of depends on the intended use for the truck. My truck will spend 99% of it's life on the road and I would rather have stiffer flaps that don't blow back on the highway rendering them useless. I haven't seen the plasticolor ones in person, but they look fine to me also. Yeah, they catch some wind, but I really don't think it is that significant. If you are putting bigger/wider than stock tires and a lift on anyway, your MPG is going to go down.

There are certainly several options, but I would never recommend the OEM ones. They were the first thing to come off my 2nd gen (in the dealers parking lot), and I got my 3rd gen without them.

For your intended use if you got the loot the rokblokz have the most coverage

Well I offroad often and I go over large rocks with the tires and even if you get alittle drag have no issues with stiffness.

Which size did you end up going with for your install? I didn't notice it in your install post or if I'm just blind.

I went with the 11" Plasticolor flaps. Looks good and no issues.
