The Slee mount for the 3rd gen is $125!!! triple the 2nd gen price... WTF!

 

Just looked on their site and it's $650 for just the kit and no batteries. Geeze that's pricey

I hadnt really dug into it since im not at that point. The other option instead of 2 batteries is to just get 1, Group 31 AGM battery.

 

Yea dude that's crazy for that price! Maybe I'll do just the one Group 31 AGM because I'm not doing any over landing any time soon

 

Ive used the stock battery over a weekend to run lights at night, plug my rtt and awning into, and to charge devices without having a problem of starting up on Sunday when we leave the camp. A group 31 would just give that extra piece of mind I think

 

Solar mounted to the roof will do the trick

I'm going to add a panel in the future to keep the fridge running for extended periods of time.

Word. I plan on picking up a Goal Zero Boulder panel at some point. Just grabbed a cheap voltmeter the other day to monitor discharge. I'm always paranoid about battery charge so being able to watch it is major stress relief. Eventually, I'd like to grab one of those Goal Zero Yeti inverters. My power requirements now though are nearly non-existent. Gotta keep phones charged...

Yeah, hot enough to melt my air hose in half, even after we were dumping water on it to cool it down.

However, it did two sets of 33s and a set of 35s before it melted.

 

What if you just used two hoses? That seems to be the weak point.

 

I mean, that's practical. I'm not smart enough to keep spares though.

 

Still over the duty cycle though. And just pouring water isn't good for cooling either -> physics

Sudden shock of temperature change, might crack the material.

I would say a tank should help with the issue (not perfect, but a lot better).
