Can we assume the group buy you mentioned a while back is going to be put on hold until you're squared away?

I think the lead times are the smaller complaint, and the interest in taking on bulk orders before prior orders are fulfilled is the bigger question mark. That makes people uncomfortable, and annoyed. Especially so when people post that they're still waiting for correct parts to be sent that weren't sent with their order, or other extremely minor issues that haven't been corrected in months and months, and most of those complain about being ignored when contacting you while others receive answers back immediately.

Glad things got cleared up. My buddy was gonna go with a Gobi rack down the road if Prinsu stopped being a thing, which would've sucked because Zac's rack is cheaper and a lot better IMO.

    Well said Zack.

I love my cab rack and plan on ordering a cap rack in time to go on top of my bed rack. Best Tacoma rack system there is IMHO.

Inspiration for you guys willing to wait.

I don't want to be the guy, but well said? He just reposted everything he's ever said when someone has asked the same question.

No mention of anything pertinent to fixing the issues. How about "I'm going to hold off on any new orders from today forward until I am able to fulfill all outstanding orders and make sure shipped orders that arrived incomplete are sent needed parts," and then a "going forward, this is my plan to not have these persistent issues continue.."

Trying to do more things with less time to do it isn't a solution, and saying I'm busy and behind isn't news, that's how it's been for the last year and why we're here now.

    1) Lead times are longer, wholesale cost has gone up but retail has stayed the same - clearly, and not sure your pricing margins have anything to do with customer issues. People are spending money, and what you make or don't make isn't reason for them to deal with business shortcomings.
    2) Still taking orders and fulfilling orders - that's part of the problem, new orders shouldn't have precedence over outstanding orders and issues therein yet made whole.
    3) Use email for ease and fastest response - there's a dozen guys saying you stopped responding to their emails and haven't replied to any form of communication for months. There's also guys who email for a new order and receive info back in minutes.
    4) Made in USA product with good price point - yes, that's why you sell racks to begin with. People support you for those reasons and others. Not sure what that has to do with the problems you're having with communication, lead times far greater than your quoted times, even when you quote extensions on lead time several times over. "Ready to ship" for 3 weeks? Something isn't accurate.
    5) Thanks for the support - all anybody wants is for you to succeed. Not at the cost of ignoring issues, no communication or ignored communication, under delivering on quoted lead times, and being sent incomplete kits and having to wait months to only sometimes have the correct items ship.

Your stuff is praised here and for good reason, and I can't be the only person here left wondering that your response didn't cover anything important or in question with the problems you've either created or haven't been able to fix.

People waiting for orders and parts deserve to know actual answers, how you plan to make them ALL whole and move forward, and how future customers are not going to have these same issues because you're taking steps X, Y, and Z to prevent that from happening again.

Nobody has a problem with the product, just how it's sold, how it's supported, and how they're left in the dark so often that your thread gets locked down and they're left to assume you are ripping them off.

That's the problem to be addressed, nothing else.

Just curious man, but have you ordered from Zach? I'm sure Zach and current and previous customers are aware of the issues he's working on. Why are you restating the obvious?

I've praised Zach and his product, so not a hater. You know that first hand. No answers are no answers, regardless.

That post doesn't say anything about why people are waiting for missing parts, why they're being ignored for months, or that they're going to be settled before the next round of orders becomes the next round of complaints and poor communication, missing pieces, etc. That reply, especially after a locked thread and mod intervention is beyond weak.

Fanboys might jump back on his lap without a hesitation, but who cares about the opinions of the people who got taken care of. He gave no inclination about what he's going to for the guys waiting, and waiting, and waiting.. and being ignored and bullshitted.

If he was talking to them behind the scenes then they wouldn't be posting about lack replies for months, and repeat delays on something ready to ship.

Not big on drama, but big on saying what should be said.

Most of the time others applaud. Sometimes they cry. Ratio is good so far.

On that note, food for thought has been served.

    Hopefully it spurs results.

    Hater.

Homer is a one man band too, how does he maintain top notch products and service, and communication while juggling family and a full time career?

    Batches. Not free for alls.

If you can't maintain and you can't expand, then cut back on production. Not ramp up on group buy orders and leave your books open while you drown and leave everyone hanging repeatedly.

And he sells everything he makes.

Business isn't that hard when you don't pass the buck to the customer.

I'm also a one man band, but I don't think we've ever seen the volume that Prinsu is getting slammed with right now.

I can say that the feeling of desperation you get when you're overwhelmed with orders is terrible. Then you get to deal with supplier issues and so and so forth.

The right thing to do is let the guy work through his mountain of orders.

Writing posts demanding that he explain his plan of action just adds more stress to his life, and believe me, he has enough of that already.

Delays with suppliers happen and can't be controlled, but what does that have to do with this?

Zach is the one who said "let's do another group buy." If he was dying from stress and weight of growing order backlog, then why consider adding
another 100+ orders to the pile?

Business can thrive and demand can increase when volume is controlled by the business owner. Overwhelmed and behind? Close the books until you're caught up and have room to breathe.

Choosing to carry on with business as usual when it doesn't work for you or the customer isn't something that can be blamed on stress, or lack of time.

He's probably just trying unrealistically to please everybody. And let's be honest, nobody who is trying to grow a business is going to turn away orders.
