I did that on mine and my advice is to not have the tape extend too far down the outside as people will scrape their legs on it and you'll never hear the end of it.

I know somebody who's dog broke his leg getting out of the truck through the slider. That is reason enough for me to have my fill plates. Secondary benefit is it keeps road grime off my paint.

Yeah he felt terrible. The dogs that come in my truck are my girlfriends dogs and she'd break up with me if one of her dogs hurt themselves on my rig.

I wouldn't put the kickouts out past the tire. It sucks having your truck get pushed around because your sliders are out too far.

my sliders went out further than my tires initially, but now that im on 315/75s its perfect. just about a cm thinner. kickout definitely helps bump me past obstacles and turn my long wheelbase around tight switchbacks w obstacles on the apex of the turn. kickouts ftw.

I'm not into kickouts. I let my tires pivot it. To each their own.

+1 i use them as steps to access the junk on the roof all the time. No filler panel and no chance of getting stuck inside them.

I've got grip tape on mine, you'll scrap once but never again. I always remind people that are riding in my truck for the first time on how to get out with sliders

Those with a trailer. Did you weld or are your rack bars bolted on like relentless Fab bars have or are they welded directly. ?

Well t-minus 6 days till i leave for the mystery that is Vancouver Island. Our goal for this trip is to proceed up the pacific ocean side as far north as possible and then come back down the straight of juan da fuca side using a total of 10 days and 90% off road which will be a massive challenge since most of the areas are owned by logging companies and gated but i have a dual sport map where they were successful id say the body damage chances are high on this trip.

My truck is finally off jack stands with a new front end

    IMG_20170612_195032_398_7e540c2318cc5440858a71aabd9b41e493cfcb0d.jpg

My tires now only rub on my ucas at full lock. Im so pumped for this trip as the 4 other trucks coming haven't spent any significant time on the island either so its gonna be new for all of us

Noob OB water question, do people ever set theirs up to use an air compressor to pressurize the water? Seems like that would be more practical if your already running OBA than installing a separate electric water pump.

That's pretty dope. I was thinking something more for like an on board water storage tank with plumbing but I guess the concept is the same, it just might need something for a pressure cutoff to make sure you don't accidentally blow up your tank.

check out @Pirhett waterport. You can pressurize the water (directions say up to 40 psi), and use it as an OBW setup
