    I have two of the Sette mounts...I didn't use them for a while and one of the mounts is really really sticky and impossible to tighten/loosen by hand. I sprayed with WD-40 so hopefully it'll loosen things up. For $10 each, I can't complain about those Sette mounts. I have mine mounted to the bed rail behind the cab.

    Anybody else running thru axles and have a short bed rack/RTT combination they would like to share? I am not removing my front wheel but also have a swingaway in the rear...so no tailgate pad.

    VooDoo has a sweet outboard system (over the bed rails on each side) but is only compatible with their rack

    Yeah.
    So you already have a short bed rack, a RTT, and a swingaway and looking for options? I have a short bed rack and RTT, but no swingaway, and use a hitch rack. I have also used a standard roof mounted system when transporting more than 2 bikes, and some of those don't require removal of the front wheel (both Yakima and Thule, haven't checked Kuat).

    Yes. I am pretty specific about my request I know but I am hoping I can fine tune. I commonly 4x4 to the top of Windrock and ride my enduro bike around the mountain and return to camp at night. Therefore I need the departure angle maintained (thus no hitch rack). Roof won't work.

    I am thinking VooDoo's system with some modified outboard securing system should do the ticket.

    A few mods here and there and counting....
    I'm sure you can modify or have KBVooDoo fabricate something to meet your needs. I've seen a similar system someone built here before that hangs off the bed side with a yakima bike mount on it.

    I just wad up a crusty old towel and wedge it between the bed and wherever I need to protect on the fancy Specialized Allez DSW. It's usually smooth pavement leading to where I'm heading out to bike though.

    A few mods here and there and counting....
    Posted this back in 2013 and still rocking it. 3 sette fork mounts(one has a thru axle adapter) on the front rail and 2 additional mounts on KBVooDoo bed bar whenever needed. Taking off the front wheel takes all of 30 seconds and it feels very secure.
