Pissed off in Dallas.

I am pissed off today cause some asshole kicked the driver's side rear bed of my truck and now I have a freaking dent. This happend during the hours of 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm at my apartment complex on Sunday (3/14). Who does such a thing during the day on a Sunday. I'm extremely pissed because I just fixed my truck back in October because I had some dumb bitch rear end me. What I can't stand is that when people have nice things and work hard for them, some fucking asshole can just walk up and do this kind of shit. I really wished I had seen who did this because they would be in a world of pain.

I have full coverage insurance but I don't really want to make a claim. What would you guys do? Has this happened to anyone?

Sorry to hear...................is the dent so bad that it cannot be popped out or does it have a crease in it.............

 

i had two of my friends get into a fight one night at a party, and i offered to give the one causing the problems a ride home. well right before he got in the truck he starts runnin his mouth again and they got into it again right beside my truck. long story short i ended up with 3 dents on my right front fender and blood in my interior! I was pissed! Felt like kicking both of there ass's! well the blood came out and i took the truck to a hail damage place that specialized in paintless dent removal and he got them all out! sheww i was relieved. it didnt cost but a couple hundred dollars. maybe give that a shot?

 

I did not see a crease and the paint hasn't cracked. It's big and it looks bad, but it looks like it might be popped out. There is a light shoe print right below the dent. That's how I know somebody just went up to my truck and kicked it.

I called a dentless paint repair guy that they call "The Wizard". All I know is that this wizard better be have some magical tools.

 

That's exactly the type of response I was looking for.........gives me some hope that it might be fixed for a decent amount of cash.

Sorry to hear about it man. I had some Ahole write in the mud on my truck .. had to buff that thing forever to get it out... not as big of a deal but the same type of thing ... no respect at all for other people's hard work.

X2 on paintless dent rapair - they are relatively cheap and many are mobile services. I had a dent repaired on my jeep for around $100. Good luck man - hope you find them and get some kicks of your own in.

 

Nope, that's the thing that really gets me. There really isn't much going on in my complex. It's gated, no one really comes out of their apartments. It's older type of place where the residents have been there for years. I really don't see a teenagers, etc. I've left my truck unlocked a couple of times with no worries. I usually have my ipod in plain site because it's a safe place. But you better believe it when I say, I'll be looking out.

NO. Get it done professionally. IMO, these gimmicks don't compare to the real thing. If it's the bed then there should be easy access behind the dent. I'm sure it will come out then if there is not crease.

 

Who sells that thing....is it endorsed by the "Sham WoW" guy....... Even if I did go that route, not sure I would want to do it myself. But thanks for the idea.

 

I saw a video on youtube that showed a guy removing a dent with a hair dryer and a can of air for cleaning computers. IIRC, he heated the dented area with the hair dryer and then took the can of air and sprayed it upside down ( so the cold propellant came out ) on the dent. In a few minutes it popped out, I thought it was a great trick. Maybe that would work for you?

I bought a dent remover tool when my boy shot a potato out of his potato gun on my s-10,,the tool did not work The dent was too small and compacted. I have heard of people using toilet plungers but I doubt if they really work either. Sometimes you can claim your insurance and not have to take a premium increase such as if you hit a deer or some other thing happens which may be the case in your situation.

 

People, as a general rule, suck. There is always the odd exception but they mostly suck. (the fine people of TW being a fine example of people who do not suck). Pay a visit to Empire paintless dent repair in Arlington. They do absolutely awesome work. I've been to those guys 4 times in the last 3 years (yep, little OCD about my cars) and they've never disappointed.

 

Damn - that totally sucks - too bad sliders can't bite- A friend of mine got a dent in his truck & we took the panel behind the dent off & pushed it out with our hands?? If your brave - but best bet might be dentless & don't turn it in to insurance - they'll raise your rates w/ too many in a year

First thing I noticed this morning when I walked out of my apartment (Also in Dallas strangely enough) someone hit my passenger side door with their door. A dent the size of a quarter and red paint scrape. Then they had the nerve to wipe away the dust to see if they did anything. Maybe someone has a Tacoma vendetta around here. It either happened in the parking garage last night or at work yesterday.
