Anyone running just one sub? As in; anyone using only the driver side compartment for their sub enclosure? Advice, best bang for buck Sub, etc. all appreciated. I'm in between a Type R 12" and Sun Down audio 10" (both run roughly 500RMS) and literally a hair away from clicking order. I really want some power back there but it's impossible for me to utilize both compartments. Any input would be great, thanks in advance!

The driver side is pretty small for an enclosure without losing your child seat tie downs. Your best bet is to talk to @Mr Marv about your needs, and have him build you an enclosure to the specs of your sub.

I use the passenger side rear for the sub and the drivers side rear is used for the smallest hybrid amp I could find .My sub is only an 8 inch and when I built the box , I had no choice but to use the passenger rear .
We both share a split rear seat 50/40 even though your truck is newer . When I did my research , we needed to use the right rear side in order to get half decent bass .
Although my write up is for a 2010 , I believe we share the same size interior compartment .
As as an alternative , there are some top quality under seat subs that perform just as good as a sub in the rear
    Hope this helps

Mr. Marv is the man! We're already in the works for the enclosure, which is why i was curious what others felt about the actual subs in this space.

Thanks for this. Right now the plan is to use the space under the seats for the amps. It's a weird situation which is why I'm trying to gauge what works best back there. Thanks for the input!
