I just want someone next door to me who doesn't think that the rules don't apply to him and he can do whatever the fuck he wants, make as much noise, leave his trash out, block the street with a basketball hoop his kid doesn't play with, and thinks "monthly" is an acceptable lawn mowing frequency.

Fucker's got two dead trees in his yard he hasn't addressed in three years.

I've got a laundry list of shit he has to fix before being allowed to sell the house. The previous HOA president is laughing her head off in glee, because he made her life hell too.

I can relate, have a neighbor in my back yard that does heaps of ignorant crap all the time. Lately it seems that he has a problem remembering where his property line ends. Constantly having to tell him that I don't want his stuff in my yard. I had made a deal with the previous owner to allow him to landscape a portion of my yard to help stop the flooding in his yard when it rained. He was a great guy but this new one is a mental midget. I've been toying with the idea of having that landscaper come back and fill that section back in just to spite the prick.

Friends in my old neighborhood wanted me to run for the board. I told them that was proof that they didn't know me very well. One of the reasons we moved last year was that a certain population that has taken over a large part of that neighborhood has recently gamed the elections for seats, and were able to push their way of living pretty hard.

 

Pretty sure it came with 16" factory wheels. I'll check tomorrow.

My "vote me for president" speech went along the lines of this:

"Vote for me or don't vote for me; I don't care. I just want this to be a quiet, respectful community where people say hi to each other when they see them around the neighborhood, clean up after their dogs, and look out for one another when the occasion calls for it. I don't need the power trip, don't expect to be paid, and will do my best to ensure that any decisions benefit the community as a whole. We don't have to all be friends, but we do have to be neighbors."

It was unanimous. With the exception of [REDACTED] it's a great neighborhood.
