Wow. Just looked at that video too. At first I thought Rob hit the nail right on head. Then looking closer looks like the bushing is totally shot. The LCA is moving so much that it's smacking the frame.

That's what I'm leaning towards as well. *sigh*

Edit: Longer video without the clunk.

That really looks like those bushings aren't giving a whole lot of resistance. I'm going with bad bushings

Ordered a set of the Whitelines. I'm guessing that the play in the rear bushing is allowing the LCA to slip on the outer sleeve of the MOOG front which is making the pop noise. I'm going to try and confirm that tomorrow.

Good morning people. What a nice day it is. Checking with the big boss (AKA wifey) to see what today holds. If there's nothing going on thinking of taking a quick trip through Freetown forest. I'll know by lunch time

So, I bought this house knowing the water had some iron and sediment in it. The filters looked terrible, and I assumed they hadn't been changed in a very long time, so it was hard to say just how much iron there was in the water.

It's a shallow well. Guessing 35 ft deep, but I haven't dropped a line down to check. I can see the bottom. I've never dealt with one before. We had a 400 ft drilled well growing up and it did have some minor issues, but nowhere near what this looks like!

I still think that's the case, but now I know the amount of iron is indeed significant. Here are what my filters looked like in about 50 days:

I guess so! I don't drink it, but I do use it for cooking.

The water looks/smells fine. Just loaded with minerals apparently. Some day maybe I should have it tested.

I have a relative with a system that somehow filters without the need to change filters. The system has some sort of cycle and flushes itself or something. It'd be nice, but probably not cheap.

My water isn't any better than yours. I filter my drinking water. Doesn't take long for an orange ring to form around the drains in my bathroom.

I don't have that happening. I think the filters (there are two in series) take out enough iron where it's minimal by the time it gets to the faucets.

Hello fellow New Englanders so I decided to start on my aux fuse block this weekend I don't have the circuit breaker yet so I can't actually finish the project. So my main? ? is that I saw this thread about an aux fuse block install and it was nice and clean so I decided to do something similar but the wires he's using to go from the battery to the breaker to the fuse box he calls 4AWG. Now I'm thinking I can just grab a pretty long battery cable from AutoZone or w/e cut it into lengths I need and crimp/solder on the copper style connector ends. Here's the thread I'm talking about as a reference https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/blue-sea-aux-fuse-block-install.340763/
