Haha. It's not so much a discount for the purchaser but a way for the site to drive in some money from the purchases we'd be making anyway. Lots of spenders on here.

Got ya. I assumed you were asking if we got discounts like some of the vendors on here give us. Never mind then. Carry on.

    Preemptive strike:

    Transmission Temperature 1 (Degrees F) 2010+
    TXD: 07E02182
    RXF: 046105820000
    RXD: 2808
    MTH: 00090005FFD8
    NAM: TF1

    Transmission Temperature 2 (Degrees F) 2010+
    TXD: 07E02182
    RXF: 046105820000
    RXD: 3808
    MTH: 00090005FFD8
    NAM: TF2

    TF1 is the pan temperature
TF2 is the converter outlet temperature
TF2 will fluctuate much faster than TF1

The 2010+-Alt code is wrong on the web site, the TXD should be the same, it's the RXD (return code) that is different and then displayed.
3rd gens are on their own, sorry.

Strange. The only thing I can think of is your battery. I noticed my SG was powered up even without the key in the ignition, though the back light was out it also had no data in the display when I pressed the button. Is it the same symptoms when started? 12.4 vdc is kind of low.....

When you first plug the SGII into the truck it will turn on since there is always current flowing to the ODB2 connector. After its first connection it only turns on when the vehicle is running.

As to the clock going out, unless it is due to low voltage (does it come back on with the truck running?) I am guessing that it is only a coincidence that it went out with the addition of the SGII.

Mine took all of 10 minutes to install after the BBT left, to include programming the XGauge for Trans Temp. And the clock still works.

    yep..
Thanks. I may have it figured out. Raining now so I wont confirm til the morning.. but I noticed that my dome and map lights are out as well. I will check the fuse.

I have foot well LEDs on the dome light circuit, and while I was running the SG cable behind the steering wheel, I decided to give an extra cinch on the zip tie that's holding the section of LED strip in place. I think that cinch shorted the strip.. cheap roll-type led strip.

Strange thing is the clock is on the dome light circuit.

This is all in theory. Otherwise I f'ed something up big time.

    fingers crossed...

Photo was taken with the engine off, when it's running it reads 13.7v

His experience was that the dome fuse caused clock malfunction as well, along with other things.

I know you found the problem but it caused me to investigate the possible battery issues with a scan gauge.

I checked my 2015 Sport connector.
Pin 16 is 12vdc and is always on without the key in the ignition. So you could have weird readings with a battery that is weak. I guess all the reviews about draining the battery are correct however I doubt it would do it overnight as some have claimed. Probably a good idea to disconnect if you are storing the truck for a lengthy time or know that your battery is going down hill.

Interesting. I wonder if anyone has done a draw test with the SG unplugged and plugged in for comparison. Maybe I will.

I was thinking about that too. Would be tricky to pull the plug and put the meter between the connector and the cable. I was surprised the manual doesn't give the power requirements. I checked a couple other ODB gauges and they all say about .25w with display off and 1w with display on. So probably safe to say 6 watts per day. If that kills your battery, you got other problems.

Please do. I've had one in one vehicle for several years now and never had an issue, even parked for 30+ days in Fl heat with a 5 yr old battery.

No issues with the 2nd one in the Tacoma the last couple of years either, and it sometimes sits even longer, OE battery.

Love to know what you find.

I'm planning on measuring the total then subtracting the difference if any, from under the hood rather than getting into the obd pins (although that would be more accurate...)

I have some other mods I've done that I want to make sure aren't drawing power.
