    Hey everyone, you have not been forgotten. Does anyone local to Oceanside have a 4.0 That is stock or mostly stock that we could use for a day to develop a 91 octane tune?

    For your time we will give you a free dyno tune + free handheld tuner on release.

    we're looking to begin this once we are finished with our 3rd gen development

    Also yes we have full DTC control and enabling and disabling for off-road vehicles that do not need check engine light feedback

    You guys have the UCON too now o_O But its way to much to spend on something of this stature. @OVTune is opening up the realm for everyone else to enjoy. Maybe I'm wrong but I hope if we want we can purchase the tuning software ourselves and tune on our own if we want and just download each tune to the module.

    Our handhelds support 05-15 tacoma 4.0L

    Not a piggyback or intercepting module. Directly reflashes and changes the target maps / tables within the ECU that control everything.

    valve timing
    throttle control
    torque control
    gearbox load control
    ignition timing
    fuel maps
    sensor calibrations
    DTC table (enable / disable DTC)
    etc


    The UCON unit still looks like a solid option. Stock ECU cannot control extra injectors or some of the stuff it can do

    It makes sense to me that it cannot control extra injectors, but would it be able to handle larger injectors? I would think so seeing as the trd supercharger comes with bigger injectors, I figure that is built into the tune, correct?

    If you do end up needing my truck for r&d I also have pictures of what I believe to be the ECU both behind the glovebox and behind the fuse panel under the steering wheel.

    yeah i did some googlating amd finding the location doesn't exactly help whrn you cant really twist around and look at it. just gotta take lots of pictures and hope its in one of them. give me an older cherokee and i can show you the ecm etc no problem. there are a lot of boxes tucked up in there in the tacoma
