It's possible. I sold it about 5 years ago. Great running truck.

Hey 07sport, In 2010 I bought a new dc sport. I installed a hour meter and it worked out for me in Long Island to be approx 30 miles per hour average.
sold it in 2015 with 90,000 miles approx 3000 hours............just for your info........

If you get can get 300k out of an automatic transmission consider yourself lucky. That's usually the first major component to go.

That's not the norm though since most people don't change the fluid often enough. Hell with a domestic they often won't last to 200k.

Like the 95 to 2004 dodge truck transmissions, hell any Chrysler transmission. All tin foil junk.

Meet a lady that does radon testing all over the state of Fl. She lives in Orlando. When I commented on how nice her vehicle looked, she said she had 640,000 miles on it. When I asked which engine her truck had in it, she had no clue. I looked at the truck on the way out. It was a 2006 V6 pre runner. Both of my vehicles have that engine, so I hope I see that kind of longevity. She also said it pulls two horses with a trailer on a regular basis. I know pictures would have been nice, but the construction industry has all of us slammed right now, including her. Her husband handles the maintenance, so again, she had no clue. The vehicle looked nice. Steve.

A buddy of mine has an 07 duramax with ~186k and like 3,200 engine hours. Those are rough numbers, I forget exactly what the numbers were, but his average speed worked out to 57 mph last time I checked. I suspect that the million mile tundra was driven similarly to my buddies duramax. My buddy used to drive from here in KY to New York and back all the time. You're right though, figuring it at 60 mph is probably a conservative calculation as far as hours go. Impressive, especially for a gasoline engine.

No they aren't rough numbers. At 187k a diesel is just getting broke in.

By rough numbers I meant I'm not for sure exactly how many miles or hours it has, but it's something resembling what I posted. Diesel engines are awesome. We have a JD 2940 (5.9 6cyl) with over 12,000 original hours on the engine. Up until a couple years ago it still had the original alternator. We've never been inside the motor. It was bought new by my Grandpa in the 80's.

I want to see how the new Ford EcoDiesel does. I'm really wanting a truck I can wrack up serious miles on. I just don't need all the HP of a diesel work truck lol

The emissions crap on the new ones gives trouble across the board. My dads two (2012 and 2013)6.7 powerstrokes both gave trouble. One quit and had to be towed in at 17k. He has a duramax now. It's already melted the mudflap off at 9,500 miles.
