Is the 3rd gen Tow Hitch a 2 inch receiver? And for a Reciever lock is it 1/2" or 5/8"? TIA

Mine has a Tow package, 2" receiver and 5/8" pin (holes).
    Hope it answers your question

If you are asking because you are buying a receiver lock, the receiver is reinforced and thicker than standard 2 inch receivers. You need to order one that is made for the heavy duty receivers. I don't remember the width off the top of my head, but if you search or go in the towing section there are several threads on it.

Edit: This thread should help you

I have the toyota receiver hitch and ball. I bought the receiver lock at autozone, it just fits the receiver to lock it up.

Oh OK then. That changes things a bit. 3". The outside diameter of my hitch is 3 inches. Because of that, this:
    CURT 23518 Hitch Lock https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T9N6DPK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_xFOADXxzj77vM
Was too short for me. Maybe by 1/4"

So now I'm using more of a universal one:
Connor Trailer Hitch Lock - 1/2" and 5/8" Black Nickel Hitch Pins for Class I - V Hitches , 1615320 Receiver Lock https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTV2CWB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_gRPUoio5xro3k

It comes with a 1/2" pin as well, I might use in the Hitch mounted bed extender.

    Edit:Removed a photo. Sorry

Yes I did I used pop & lock tow hitch lock...
My brother had 2 spare keys for his Tundra gave them to me to use since you can use only regular car keys not the new style 3rd gen key. Works out great!

Any rattle or noise? The beaver step is quite a bit smaller then the hitch opening

I only hear it rattle when I go over bumps, it is a lot smaller I have some foam tape I'm going to put on keep it from moving and rattling. But it's not a big deal compared to these babies that whine about it, that's why I haven't put the tape had the step in for about 2 weeks now.
