Soo... while i was at Rausch this weekend i broke off a valve stem. I want to go with rubber valve stems which means getting rid of my tpms sensors. Any ideas how to disable the tpms light?

Couldn't you just put the sensors in the glove box and replace the stems?

pull the circuit board behind the gauge cluster, stab the shit out of whatever circuit or whatever makes that light come on. Replace back into dashboard! Honestly i dont think there is any other way besides that or electrical tape.

Read one of the threads on color changing your dash lights, follow the instructions to pull the cluster off. Then find and pull out the led chip for the tpms.

They wont read pressure then. I was told to put them in a pressurized tube, but i dont really want this tube rolling around in my truck.

The light would still be on, as they would detect 0psi in the glovebox. There is a mod where you put the sensors in a pressurized box on the truck somewhere to trick the toms ecu into thinking the tires are good.

You could always do the old pipe bomb trick. You can Google pipe bomb/tmps.

There's a thread here about disabling TPMS, I'm too lazy to find it for you however.

Not to start an argument or offend anybody here... but why would you prefer cutting a wire in the factory wiring harness to just pulling the led chip? To me that seems kinda like cutting into the wall of your house and cutting the wires to a light fixture instead of just taking the light bulb out of the socket.:notsure:

Im comftorable with cutting/splicing wires. Im unfamiliar with unsoldering things from a board. Unsoldering is new to me and new things are scary.

Do what you want, but my advice is to keep the TPMS system working.
