    It was put back where it was within 5 minutes of going over 50mph.... it was waaaaay worse.

    So I put the rubber strip back on it and put it all the way back down.

    Sheesh. I wonder if the side portions allow air through that creates noise...

    No idea, but moving it up to where there is a gap and not using the rubber strip made a horrible whistling type noise.

    So that did not improve anything at all.

    Anybody have a snowboard rack? I'm thinking of just losing the clamp part and putting carriage bolts through the mount.

    @duvinclunk

    Here is what I did with the covers. I still have two left over that I plan on putting somewhere as well... just not sure where yet. Possibly underneath on the second bar.

    But 6 of these things allowed me to do 9 slots as when cutting them down, there is enough excess to do 3 slots.

    I did the same as above a few nights ago (bottom 2 slots, top 2 slots, and forward facing slot covered on first bar behind the fairing supports) and it seems tons better. Full disclosure though, my hearing is pretty shitty and the noise from the rack even from the beginning was never too bad on my truck except in real bad cross wind. I've got the noise trim and fairing is at the lowest setting..

    I saw earlier someone mentioned the curved angles along the side of the fairing maybe causing some noise.. I remember a while back in this thread someone had added some metal behind the fairing to finish the edge all the way to the side rails and to accent the Prinsu logo. It looked pretty sharp but dunno if the poster had any input on change in wind noise.

    I had wondered the same thing. I even put loads of painter tape to cover mine to hopefully test the theory and it didn't make a whole lot of difference. I'm wondering if it is my light bar that could be causing some of the noise.

    I did this morning, but did not get above 35mph so did not notice. May try tonight to get above 55mph and see if it sounds better.

    I know that I have a lot of road noise coming from the rear drivers side, but that is because I do not have seats there to absorb that noise. So may look into adding something there to help with that as I already have sound deadening and the foam, but since I built the platform for the fridge there, may add some more foam under the platform and behind the wall I built.

    I had thought about that, but not sure how I would do it honestly. Not even sure why the fairing has that curve there to be honest... would look better if it was straight all the way across.

    Honestly, I bet I would notice a big difference in wind noise if I did not have the plano case or the rotopax on the roof rack... but then what is the point of the roof rack?

    Oh nice!

    What type of stuff is that? Seems like it should work pretty well.

    It is a product from Stinger. Made for sound deadening for professional audio performance. 3 layers, buytl, aluminum and foam.
