    Hello,

I’m looking at installing an Alpine KTP-445U in my non-JBL, 2017 Tacoma Crew Cab.

(I’ve already bought new speakers for the doors and new tweeters.)

What I don’t know how to do is place the amp between the HU and the speakers. I don’t want to cut or splice into any of the factory wiring and I want to use the factory wires that go to the speakers.

I assume there is some sort of wiring harness that will plug into the back of the HU which will then connect to the amp’s input. Can anyone tell me what harness I would need for this?

Also, I assume there is a harness that plugs into the output side of the amp that I can then plug the factory speaker connector into?

Finally, if anyone has mounted the Alpine KTP-445U in a 2016 or 2017 Tacoma Crew Cab, 3.5L, automatic transmission, and, can offer suggestions on where they placed the amp, I would be more appreciative.

    Thanks so much.

Try calling Cruthfield . I thing there is a harness that's plug into stock harness . The alpine amp is pretty good for its size .Will wake up those after market speakers for sure .

    Wouldn't you like to know!
If you're using the factory head unit, unfortunately you have to splice into the factory harness. I think they may make a T-harness for OEM radios but I am not 100% sure if it would work. I have the same amp but on my Alpine deck. It was pretty simple with the aftermarket wiring harness. Good Luck!
