Speaking of prices we pay, after my short trip up to the cabin last weekend, my front diff actuator went to shit. 4 wheel drive is totally gone and wouldn't engage. Got back and threw it on the lift. Transfer case works just fine - front drive shaft turns the front wheels do not. Tested for power at the actuator and there is power. Therefore, actuator is shot (or on the slight chance the front diff is shot but not likely because the actuator wouldn't activate and a well known issue with the 4wd system). So $300 later, new actuator is order and will be going into the truck the night before we head out to Colorado. One thing after another lately.

 

I have a set of jack stands if you need. Let me know. I won't need them for at least 3 weeks at minimum.

 

I have Saturday free if anyone needs an extra set of hands to help tear trucks apart and reassemble. I work for pizza and microwave burritos.

 

Too late to cancel the order? Seems a common issue is an electrical connector inside the actuator goes out, it's an easy solder job

Thanks for posting. I came across this thread in my research. My plan is to tear apart and check the connections. If that is the case, I will solder and reinstall. I ordered the part from one of the local Dealers in Utah so I can take it right back to them if needed. I'd rather just have the part on hand if needed while I have it torn apart. I have a feeling mine might be complete junk...
