They are now 43 mufflers, if I'm not mistaken they are a chain of muffler shops. Couple of months back it was Chavez mufflers, but the owner had health issues so I think he sold the business. I can't recommend the shop since I only been there once since the new ownership.

In a waiting period for a new job to start so I have more time than I normally would - I'da probably just hosed it down otherwise. That, and I'm getting ptsd from my truck's old engine and trans being coated in a quarter inch of oil and Pismo sand frosting. I want this guy to just hose off when I take it to have fun - taking care of the usual-for-this-engine leaking valve covers will help too. Even my new engine and trans were oiled up from the valve covers leaking even though everything else on the truck looked brand new before it wrecked.

just what I need to do what I want
I grew up in Whittier, now live in the OC and work in Downey. Small world huh?
I had some exhaust work done at the shop on the corner of Rosecrans and Bellflower, or maybe Woodruff. South east corner of the intersection. Did good work, fairly priced. I saw 2 custom hotrods he did, really clean.
This was about 4-5 years ago though.

Got out last Friday to watch some of the Vegas to Reno race. Pretty sure my lil taco won, but I guess the race officials didn't get my name or whatever... probably flying by too fast.

I put a thread out there in the hopes that someone with interior wiring experience could take a look at it and tell me if what I want to do is possible and how. I didn't want to pose the question in here and junk up the thread since it's not the place for it but I'm dropping a link to it here since a lot of you guys know so much about these trucks.

Take a look if you know something about interior wiring or if you want to get a good laugh at my amateur wiring diagram. Thanks.

Looks awesome. I don't think the word "finished" applies though. Looks like the snowball is just starting to gain momentum ;)
Can you drive the road / track all of the way from Vegas to Reno? I got into looking into this when I saw a documentary on the original Mint 400 that went from Vegas to Reno!
