LED side markers up front 2007 base model

Okay so I'm a bit pissed to see that someone else got his LED's to work up front for the side markers. Granted he got them from a better place than I did still, lol. I was reading a little and found that apparently the LED's won't work but then saw the person with his on and with a pic showing them on AND WORKING!!!! I think it's a blue dc w/blue LED's sides, yes that one.

I don't want to change the color really, I just want it brighter, so I got some LED's and they don't light up ANYWHERE near the person with the blue LED's. Do they really work up front or not? I REALLY want to get them to work. I finally decided on what color to use other than red on my taco, which is orange (going to be coloring the calipers HOK/Chevy Orange, i think that's the name), so I will be putting this on almost all the parts on my truck (engine, brakes, rims (if I can ever get them)).


SO if you have the sides working, how did you get them to work and where did you get you LED's from? I'm guessing my LED's that I have suck major balls, ergo why they aren't working.

 

I have amber led from pep boys in mine. not as bright as the purple one you are talking about cause blue/purple appear brighter but yes they do work. If yours dont light up turn the led 180 degrees as they only work in one position

 

damn I didn't know that, is it better to test them when it's a bit darker to know which way is better?

 

u can do it during the day. just put in the led and test it before you plug it back into the headlight so you can see if they work cause its a pain to get them out.

 

well put them in again, not so bright at all. I took them off and put in the regular bulbs I had in my top console lights instead. I have to find a better bulb.

 

Did you see a picture or in person? Also, do you have the BHLM and painted the side marker reflector?

 

picture, it was in a search I did for LED's. The picture was from a member on here, he used blue to match his dc. Haven't done the BHLM yet, trying to find the candy yellow tint (so far just yellow tint, looks dull for me). I think it's the LED that I used though. I looked up some other ones and they have about 4/5 little LED's in one bulb, on mine, there's this little dinky one.

 

these are the ones I have, well they look close to them, just not as bright at all

 

would these be better? or is it just lacking the power for them?

amber is not nearly as bright looking as blue or white.

 

but the ones in the first pic should light up like the ones I have one right now. They don't, it looks like it's not getting enough power.

 

The picture will make it look brighter...

 

which ones should I get so that they are bright, not like a small dot.

 

You want the ones with LEDs on its side so that it reflects off of your headlights as well.
