Mud Guards: Concern about future damage to mounting holes on truck

    How did y'all install the front plastidips? I just used the two screws versus the three that the factory flaps use but my tires are rubbing a bit on turns. Would like to use the third screw but it looks like I would need to install a spacer.

    How did you install the front plasticolor flaps? I used the two factory holes, and I've noticed that the inside flap sometimes rubs against my tires on slow turns. Doesn't appear to be any noticeable impact to the tires or the mudflap, I can just see where it rubs or if I turn the wheel, get out of the truck and look.

    Did you come up with good solution to this or did the two screws hold up? I just my finished my rear Plasticolor installed with 4 screws and had to drill a hole in the fender flare on an 18..... not overly happy on that but its done...

    I installed the fronts with 2 as you did just hoping that is enough... and of course being anal i had to order OEM screws to match.. those are not cheap..

    I've got the OEM mud guards. Three different week-long trips in the deep sand of OBX, two days on fire roads in the Monongahela National Forest with a couple of hard bounces in mudholes, and 30 miles of gravel at highway speeds and they're still hanging in there. But, I've never knocked them against anything in very cold weather. They do a good job keeping mud off the running boards and bed sides. The front ones reduce the pinging of stones on the running boards. I had a Trooper with running boards and mud guards and gravel roads sounded like a bell choir. Some mud get tossed in the rear bumper, but not too bad. They don't rinse well in the rain because of the cupped shape. The flaps from the 1st gen Toyota 4X4 would be ideal; long, flexible.
