Anybody have brand recommendations for cv axles and also wheel hub assemblies? Anything else smart to check and/or replace at the same time ? (seals etc.)

Are they that good because they're priced higher than literally any other hub Google knows about.

He has been selling them forever, I don't know the one's you are referring to. But you get what you pay for, post up a link of what you are referring to.

Don't know how to copy paste a link on smartphone sorry, but the ones I'm looking at are: 1Aauto, $159 per pair with no need to press bearings. Trq 159 per pair (no press). Timken, $137 each. Yukon gear and axle. The MOST expensive I can find is a Detroit axle part $169, but it still doesn't need pressed

I can only refer things to you, you decide the rest. The one's I showed you are all assembled and pressed and ready to go for 175.00.

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
The listing that is posted shows wheel hub assemblies at $175.00 for each side only "if" your Tacoma is a 4x4 ($165.00 each if you buy two).

If your Tacoma is a 4x2 then the price jumps to $275.00 for each side (total just for two: $550.00!) and that is not including the cost of shipping (which would be expensive depending on where you live and the weight of the packaging). Plus add to the cost of extra spending $$ if you are going to have someone or place have them installed which will cost $$$$.

As for those wheel hub assemblies that you see posted online for that price, well yes it is cheaper but when you inquire about them they don't exactly have them. They either say that they are out of stock or don't know when they'll be receiving any soon!?

How do I know this you might ask? Well a couple of months ago I was in the same spot you are in about replacing the wheel hub assemblies on both sides of my Tacoma.

Researched on price and availability, etc. and well couldn't find any, called just about all those places listed the complete wheel hub assembly and found out that really nobody exactly have any even though they show online that they do!

So I did not want to wait any longer (my 2008 Tacoma is a 4x2) and instead went ahead and had NTB install them for a total price of $565.00

The choice is yours to make and yours alone.

@BamaToy1997 for hub assemblies. Guy makes a good product. Quite popular on here too. I've had mine for two years and no issues.
