That's quite the bad product you got. I've heard from someone at Advanced that there's "none of that bullshit anymore" because they bought the molds from Tim, but heard from others that the new 'owner' is related to Tim (his son I think?) and Tim still has a hand in the company. I'll still end up ordering some Advanced Glassworks bedsides, but through a dealer instead of directly.

Crazy - do you know if it has anything to do with you having a 4Runner vs a taco?

Yes it was with the 97 front end. It had 4 hood pins. Could easily glass over the holes

What the fuck?! That's not right dude....

You shouldn't have to be adding shims and stuff

Just adds a small spacer inside the cup between the uniball and the snap clip for a tight fit. 3/4 had this and was fixed with the shim.

Uniballs we're fine once I added the shim. It was sliding up and down like shown in the cup between the clip and the top of the cup until I made it tight with the shim. No movement after.

    We're talking very minor.

Oh that means they machined the groove in cup wrong then right ? I would be worried that the play has ovalized the cup...your talking about a part that usually has to be pressed in and out so free play like that is no bueno.

You'd have to ask JT or Bruno. All I know is it was easy to swap and fixed my movement.

Pulled that bitch of a snap clip and it launched across my lawn. Took more time to find it in the grass than the swap.

Hi all. I'm talking with @Hawk373 about buying his set of 14" triple bypass Kings. I've got a camburg SUA setup inbound and I'm planning on getting the @ARCHIVE Garage shock relocate.

From the pictures in the sale thread (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/king-2-5x14-triple-bypass-never-used-nj.507912/), it looks like the tubes/mounts are in the right orientation, where the tubes will be toward the wheels. I am curious about the configuration of the long compression tube and the rebound tube. One shock has both compression tubes at the top and the rebound down near the reservoir tube. The other shock has the short compression tube and rebound tube near the top and the long compression tube near the reservoir tube. Is this typical/normal?

FYI, I believe the recommended clocking is tubes forward for the @ARCHIVE shock relocation

From the description on their website, tubes forward is for 2 tube bypasses. They mention tubes toward the wheels for 3 tube bypasses. However, the wording makes it sound like they haven't tried fitting a 3 tube bypass yet.

Stickers on the shock in the bottom pic are on the wrong tubes. The stickers on the 2 long tubes need to be swapped.

Exactly! Correct fix is cut the uniball cup out and replace. Big surgery but the correct way.
