Well, for us turd gens you can do a side by side. But I think you're limited on battery size that way.

You could do a full dual battery but you need to have a AT TRD Off Road for that to work if I recall.

In that case, it would be smarter to either put the batteries in the bed or under the bed where the spare tire goes.

The problem that comes with under the bed where the spare tire goes is the cost and efficiency of those places so far from charging source and the length of the battery leads. I've done that before on two FJs.
An other option is to change the air intake and set up an other battery there. I have done that on other trucks too. Or where ever it will fit.

Maybe I don't understand the structural integrity of Tacoma enough, but 100lbs of battery in one corner of the engine bay seems like something is doom to fail. Plus with limited room, I fail to see where else to put the batteries.

@MJonaGS32 put together a pretty good thead:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ts-see-them-multiple-batteries-thread.295653/

All the kits listed and links to many build thread battery systems.

The bed is a good spot. Others have put the 2nd battery behind the rear seats. Have to pull out one of the cubbies though.

I'm using @Iggy setup and would recommend it for anyone with an OR model. You can fit a bigger (group 27) battery in the spot over the PS wheel well. The other offerings require a tiny Honda Civic battery.

When I had the 4wc, it came with 2 batteries in the back PS & DS corners, and I already had duals up front. One battery in each corner of the truck. It was perfectly balanced...

    ...too much shit to list.
Who makes poly bushings for the power steering rack?

Edit: Nevermind. Looks like Energy Suspension makes them.

Nevada Beach is litterally down the street from my house. When you heading there?
