Did some research..... wow, have you seen how many posts pull up on a search for oil change ?

Couple questions and I'm gone. Switching to Mobil1 Synthetic -

    1. How many quarts do I need ? (5 1/2 ??)
    2. Recommended oil weight ? (5w-30 ??)

    2006 V6 4x4

    Thanks guys!

don't pull the transmission drain plug. remember, the engine oil resides in the oil pan which is located below the engine block and not below the transmission. if you can't identify the engine from under the truck, then don't do it.
