Hey guys ive been looking around for a while and have decided to go with billies when i decide to lift my truck. I figure ill be using a 1.5inch aal id probably set the front to 2.5 since im in a prerunner (so no uca worries right?) ...

now i think i found a local deal on clist for BFG all terrains 285/75/16 for 225.00 7 tires
is that a good deal? it says they have good tread on them.

will i be able to fit these tires without rubbing/cutting i dont really want to cut but if its just a little bit and i could get away with it...

    Thanks

You will probably still need uca's. And most likely will need to do some minor inner fender trimming.

Why do you say id need ucas?
what if i went with 1.75 in the front?

minor trimming would be alright i guess.. you cant really tell can you? im worried about my parents seeing... (parents helped pay for the truck)

Does trimming it bring down your resale?

edit: thanks for the quick reply

You won't be able to get your alignment dialed in without the new uca's. If you stay below 2" you will probably be able to get it close to ideal. The trimming will be minor if you do a good job then they won't notice! 1.75 will get you level.

If you go with the 1.75 setting then you won't need the aal. Unless you want the rear 1.5" higher than the front?

i was planning on 2.5 with aal.. that seems to be the way to go
i thought alot of people had that lift with no alignment issues?

i guess i could go 1.75 front with nothing in the rear but then theres no way those tires would fit right?

anyone know if the tires would fit/are a good deal?
how does trimming work anyone have pics of how to? will it hurt resale?

I'm running 285's with a 2'' AAL. I had to trim allot and remove my front mud flaps. I need to do the cab mount chop. I plan on installing some lift springs or maybe spindles in the future.

    and ride is good right?

its really difficult to figure things out when you little knowledge of automobiles in the first place :(
