What about the speed sensors? The tone ring is on the stock cv shaft. When the hubs are unlocked the shaft is not turning how are you getting around this issue?

    You're ignorant to the facts.

    FOR THE RECORD:
TacomaWorld figured out the hub/bearing assembly in 2012, years before he did it for his 2014 4Runner.

BamaToy1997 is the one who noticed the 1st Gen Manual Hub should press into the 2nd Gen bearing, then suggested someone could make a shaft to connect the 1st Gen outside CV joint with the 2nd Gen inside CV joint.

    Who's copying who?

What Sideline Hero does and what I do are completely different.
He resplines the CV shaft to fit in a 1st Gen outer joint.
I designed and manufacture a standalone product, which was in development well before he showed up. I didn't post publicly because I wasn't sure if I could have it manufactured. Once it was, I had to fully test it before I presented it here- I respect this forum.

so your telling me you've never asked any detailed questions about his kit and you made this kit up completely by yourself without any knowledge from @Sideline Hero ? And after asking all your private message questions to him, then BOOM!, your kit comes out all of a sudden.

We chatted about Aisin and cheap Warn hubs, then I trolled him pretty hard. He did divulge a lot, which was not my intentions. I already knew everything I needed for my kit. I couldn't believe he was claiming so much as HIS IDEA.
The P in PM means Private btw.

I don't see the issue here...many folks sell similar products without issue although it sounds like this isn't the case here. If OP has gone out of his way to machine his own axles for these...then who gives a shit who else is involved if they arnt partly invested to create the product to begin with? Does anyone have a patent on this particular upgrade? I would assume no, but havnt really looked into it.

This is similar to what I view as the long travel vendors where most make similar axles with slight tweaks or so to help differentiate their product. At the end of the day, they all thrive for their own reasons and reliability. This is similar with folks like bamatoy and NJ636 in terms of selling pre-made hubs. They both provide good products and have a friendly competition on TW.

I applaud you OP for being willing to test your product, develop a solid design and go forward with it to the manufacturing phase. I will def look into this upgrade when the funds for it come.

Did he ever make a kit? If so, does he STILL make it? I understand giving credit where credit is due as inspiration and research isn't always from one guy. That being said, a guy can know any and everything about a topic, but if he fails to invest in creating a product and someone else does and INVESTS their own money to make that creation...that's wrong? Items like this, you got to invest money to make money...if you don't provide the product or the means to atleast try to make it a reality, then at the end of the day you are just talk with great ideas.

And that's where our gripe is. @Sideline Hero has a kit out already. It's been out for awhile already. He's saying bamatoy1997 came up with the idea and all credit is due to him. Granted he figured out 2 pieces to the puzzle. That's it. @Sideline Hero did the research, put in the MAN HOURS and MONEY into and executed the idea and made it come to life. Posted it on TW for sale. He was the FIRST EVER. Then comes this guy Private messaging my friend, asking him very detailed questions about his product that he built and created. And then HE comes out and claims that he has had this product in the works for awhile now!!! Come on...give credit where credit is due. He even admits to "trolling" my friend hard. Don't take someone else's hard earned time and money, don't give him any credit for one, and then make a buck off of it.

Alright fair enough, but if that is the case...OP may not be in the wrong regardless. I would assume that hero likely doesn't have any legal patents behind his stuff so the OP could do what he wants if the situation is indeed exactly as what you have described, which Im not doubting you. That said though, you could also look at it this way...you can get the "Toyota genuine parts" kit, or the OPs version. I do tend to agree that with components such as this, it is hard to beat the good ol fashioned Toyota stuff as its robust and expensive for a reason. I hope a decent agreement can come of this. I did enjoy reading about the "mo betta" product.

Ah shit man, you should of warned me about making sure I had some

All seriousness though, it def sounds like things are getting pretty rocky. It doesn't seem that hero has nothing to hide through this...again though, unless patents are involved then things could continue without any legalities. Def an interesting turn of events this is heading in.

Does nobody else have the right to offer a manual hub kit?

Bamatoy1997's post above PROVES I didn't copy anything from him.

What he does and I do are completely different.
    Ridiculous.
