Is that the one where you have to cut a hole in the cowl panel to draw air next to the fresh air vent? If so, I read that thread a couple of weeks ago and considered doing it, but don't know if I want to cut into the cowl. I was hoping for someone to come up with a cleaner looking air tube to work with

Oh, hadn't seen that thread. When you get it, do you want to do the install at our body shop? I have all the tools you'd need for it. I'd be interested in seeing it done first-hand.

Damn bro, your truck is amazing and how great is the outdoors where you live? Those pics in your build thread are unreal!
Question, I'm also running the OME 886's, but you're Tacoma looks so much taller, or is it just the cut fenders & flares making it look that way? I'm thinking of going up to 35's the next time I need tires, so I may follow your lead on the trimming.

Ok, it looks like it could be another 3 weeks before delivery. I am pretty sure I'll get a tracking number soon.

What are peoples opinions on having a vehicle detailed before getting appraisals? On one side, I see the detailing as cleaning everything up, showing that the vehicle has been well maintained and kept clean. On the other side, it could reveal imperfections in the paint that otherwise wouldn't be noticeable. I do have two fairly bad scratches on the tailgate. One is more of a scuff and probably will buff out, but the other is deep. Not down to metal, but deep. I'm not concerned with either, but if the one would buff out it would look better.

If I drop a bit of money into a thorough detailing inside and out, do you guys think I would get my money back on it? Or just give it a good washing, and call it a day? I have a mobile detailer that does amazing work. If y'all don't think its worth the investment, I may just skip it.

BTW, I need to figure out how to zip tie those damn fender liners up. They flop around making all kinds of noise. Before, all the tire rubbing and sway bar linkage rattling masked the liner noise. Now that everything else is fixed and quiet, I am focusing on that noise now haha.

I wouldn't spend money on having a shop detail it, but definitely clean it up nice and good yourself. ;)

I think it depends on the truck. On my 2015, it was scratched to hell from all the trail riding. I spent $320 for a shop to spend the entire day on it with a buffer and it removed 90% of scratches, and they gave it a basic interior cleaning. I'm not sure if gave me more on my trade-in, but IMO it was worth it.

Wash it for first, inspect for scratches etc, give it a nice wax with something like nu-shine. 9 out of 10 times you aren't going to get your money back on a detail unless you get someone here to hook you up.

If the truck is really scratched up, it might be beneficial.
