    Vehicle:
    All stock Superwhite 10' AC
    Hilux 167 snorkel install

    Items needed
    -ebay/Amazon hilux 167 snorkel (STH167RA)
-3-4" 76-102mm 45 degree transition silicone hose coupler
    -dynomax 41428 aluminized elbow
    -3.5" worm ring clamp
    -4.5" worm ring clamp
    -double sided tape ~30#

    tools
    3.5" hole saw
    8/10/12mm sockets
    paint
    drill and various bits
    ruler/tape measure and sharpie
    dremel
    sharp knife

    Step 1
take out the stock air tube, undo the clamp on the filter box and two bolts that connect on the fender and pull out the intake tube, tape up the cutting area

    Step 2
Use the snorkel template to reference where the snorkel will fit and sit, i used a piece of cardboard and traced out the snorkel to get a better idea of where the snorkel curve where it meets the antennae to get a better ideal of where i wanted to customized my placement (i screwed the studs and and pressed them into the cardboard to see where holes were.

***the idea of the cardboard template was to replicate the actual snorkel shape and note/mark the notch for the antennae on the snorkel. The supplied template does not do this--- it only provides the placement of the mounting holes and where to start the hole saw***

Use the template you made and place it over the old template and see where it lines up and move the placement around until you have a desired placement of your snorkel

    - it is very important that you use the top of the hood as a guide to place the snorkel, its better to keep the distant uniform along the hood line, I chose to place it about 3.25" from the edge of the hood to the snorkel.

    Step 3
Mark your holes, oil, and drill. For the drill saw go at a good speed and just hold the saw steady as it will catch as it enters the fender so be prepared, it will be an ugly sound and jerk when it starts to bite into the metal.

    Step 4
Use a dremel or hole saw to widen or oval the hole to make it easier to slide in, I used a dremel. I also double dilled the stud holes to allow for some adjustment but this is not needed.

    Step 5
Paint the edges and wait for dry before assembly, cut the outlet of the snorkel to your desired fit as well as the rubber fitting, I removed around 1-1.5 inches on both

Step 6 slide the snorkel halfway in and from the fender side (assuming your liners are gone) slide in the rubber coupler with the hose clamp, tighten it down with an 8mm socket

add double side tape to the mount on the pillar and tighten down the bolts in the fender

    Step 7
Slide in the aluminized tubing with all the appropriate hose clamps as well as the 4" to 3" coupler and tighten clamps and done......

here is the fit of the snorkel, it fits well minus the small gap in front

****Before snorkel my temperature variance between intake air and outside air was between 8-14*f and now the variance is 1-5*f variance.

Do you believe double sided tape will be enough to hold the snorkel to the pillar?

yeah, the bolts are plenty to keep the thing on, the tape is there to keep the bracket from vibrating
